Privacy Policy

The Maldives Boating Awards (boatingawards.mv) is organised by the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM). This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

When you sign in with Google to vote: your name, email address and Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password and we do not access your contacts, files or any other Google data.

When you vote: the category and nominee you voted for, the time of the vote, and your IP address and browser information. We use these to enforce one vote per category per person and to detect fraudulent voting.

When a nomination is submitted: the nominee and company details, applicant name, designation, phone number and email, and any documents or images uploaded with the nomination.

• To let you sign in and cast your votes.
• To make sure each person votes only once per category and to keep the results fair.
• To process, review and publish nominations.
• To contact applicants about their nominations.

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. Individual votes and voter identities are never published; only overall results are announced. Nominee names, photos and descriptions are shown publicly on the website as part of the awards. Data is stored with our hosting and storage providers (including Amazon Web Services) solely to run this website.

We keep voting and account data only as long as needed to run the awards, verify the results and handle any disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

We use your browser's storage only to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing sg@boating.mv. You can also remove this website's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
